BROCHURES AND GUIDELINES IN EASY LANGUAGE
Easy language is a way of communication characterized by simplicity, comprehensibility and clarity. It is a way of expressing information, ideas or messages in a way that is easily understood by the intended audience. Easy language is a simplified form of language. This means that the grammar and vocabulary are simplified compared to the standard language. There are a number of guidelines, rules and standards for writing texts in easy language.
The two main target groups of easy language are:
• people with disabilities (people with dyslexia and other reading difficulties, people with intellectual disabilities, ADHD, autistic spectrum).
• persons with insufficient language skills (immigrants, migrants, functional illiterates, weak readers).
