ABC-EUAV Accompaniment and Capacity Building
The ABC-EUAV Accompaniment and Capacity Building Project aims to strengthen the EU's ability to provide humanitarian assistance based on needs and to strengthen the capacity and tangible resilience or disaster of affected communities in non-EU countries. At the same time, the program encourages European citizens to show solidarity with people in need by participating in humanitarian actions in these countries.
ABC-EUAV represents the alliance of nine Caritas family partners: Caritas Europa, Caritas Romania, Caritas Austria, Caritas Ukraine, Caritas Kosova, Caritas Georgia, Caritas Armenia, Caritas Serbia and Caritas Bosnia and Herzegovina, and aims to build capacity and knowledge to act actively and participate in projects initiated by the EUAV program. The project also aims to build capacity in reducing the risk of disaster risk DRR (Disaster Risk Reduction) and organizational readiness to respond to emergencies as well as increase existing capacity in the field of volunteer management of partner organizations in the project.
